PICS: Multi-vehicle crash brings Joburg traffic to standstill
Several people were injured this morning after several vehicles collided on the N1 south-bound highway near the New Road off-ramp in Midrand.
According to ER24, 12 people were injured after several trucks and light motor vehicles collided.
Four lanes of the highway was blocked.
"Emergency services had to battle their way through the morning traffic, arriving shortly after 08.15am," ER24 said.
Traffic is still heavily affected and authorities are on scene to investigate the cause of the collision.
