PICS: Higginson Highway reopened after protests
Updated | By Chanelle Lutchman
The M1 Higginson Highway in Chatsworth south of Durban has been reopened to traffic.

Angry community members blocked the busy route this morning with burning tyres.
Sipho Mthethwa who's with eThekwini's Rapid Response Unit says officials are now meeting with some of the protestors.
"Colleagues are in that meeting with the community and I'm here to assist and to facilitate that we open the roads as we have opened M1 (Higginson Highway). We are in the process of clearing Link Road as well," he said.
Residents of informal settlements adjacent to the highway are not happy with service delivery.
