Fire fighters have managed to bring under control a huge blaze that broke out a short while ago at the Umvoti Ultra City on the N2 northbound, between Stanger and Ballito.

There has been no clear indication as to how the fire broke out, but however according to IPSS emergency services a number of explosions, believed to be from gas cylinders kept on the property, were heard.
The service's Paul Herbst says three tankers caught alight and everyone there had to be evacuated.
"Three tankers initially caught fire and fire has been dowsed on the two - leaving one still ablaze. The KwaDukuza fire department is on scene," he said.
There has been no confirmation so far as to how the blaze started. The fire is suspected to have started behind a Steers outlet there.
