Updated | By Khatija Nxedlana
11 people have been injured after a train and trailer of the truck collided on the railway track in Northdene near Pinetown, in Durban.
Paramedics, fire fighters and police are currently on the scene of the accident on Fairfield Road.
Rescue Care's Garrith Jamieson says the collision occurred on the railway track.
He says it's unclear exactly how the accident happened.
"Fairfield Road is closed from Main Road. Traffic is congested at the moment on Main Road due to a lot of curiosity from drivers so I would advise all people to avoid the area," he said.
