PHOTOS: The tragic CT plane crash

A technical glitch is alleged to have been the cause of a deadly plane crash that has left five people dead at the weekend. See photos from the scene here.

Eighty-year-old patient Gabriel le Roux, his daughter Charmaine Koortzen, 49, pilots Steven Naudé, 53, and Amore Espag, 23, and 24 year-old paramedic Alfred Ward, 24, died on impact.

The light aircraft was reported missing off radar at 6: 50am after it was scheduled to land at 7am at Cape Town's airport. 

The plane left Namibia's Oranjemund Airport at 4am and located by an emergency helicopter in the northern suburbs, Tygerberg just more than an hour later.
