PHOTO: 18 survive Inanda horror taxi crash

Emergency personnel are in awe after a minibus taxi was ripped to pieces in a double-vehicle crash on Umzinyathi Road, in Inanda, this morning.

"We do know that one vehicle overturned and came to rest on its roof. This vehicle was severely damaged and its amazing that people did not sustain more serious injuries as a result of the crash," KZN EMS spokesperson, Robert Mckenzie said.

Mckenzie says the injured drivers and passengers who all miraculously survived the collision - have been taken to hospital.
"Paramedics treated a total of 18 patients. Nine patients had sustained serious injuries while nine patients had sustained minor injuries," Mckenzie said.
