Police Minister Bheki Cele says 56 people have now been arrested in connection with the murders in Phoenix during the recent wave of unrest.

At least 36 people were killed in the area during several days of violence in KZN in mid-July.
Speaking in Umlazi on Thursday, Cele said some of the suspects face as many as six murder counts each.
"We are continuing investigations on both the individuals that killed people there and the companies that are still under investigation that could have abused their right of trading.”
