Phoenix school cleared of flouting Covid regulations

A Phoenix school accused of flouting Covid-19 regulations has been cleared of wrongdoing.
The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Education sent a team to investigate at Solvista Secondary when the allegations surfaced this week.
The school was accused of failing to take the proper safety precautions when it allowed learners - who'd tested positive for coronavirus - to write exams.
The department's spokesperson Muzi Mahlambi says Covid-19 protocols were followed.
Investigators found that four learners, who had the virus, wrote their papers in separate rooms.
"There is a manual to that effect as to how to go about invigilating. We are satisfied about the management."
