Pedestrian killed on N2 near Tongaat
A woman has lost her life after she was hit by a car on the N2 north bound at the Tongaat Toll Plaza.
According to reports from the scene, the woman had apparently been running across the road when she was knocked over last night.
It is alleged she was being chased.
Paramedics who arrived to treat the injured woman say she had suffered extensive injuries and passed away before she could be taken to hospital.
KwaZulu-Natal police are investigating.
