Pedestrian dies after attempting to cross N2 near Ballito

A pedestrian has died after being knocked down on the N2 on the north coast.

Medi Response spokesperson Paul Herbst says the man had been trying to cross the highway near the Ballito off-ramp.
"A vehicle travelling on the N2 south bound lane just after the Ballito off-ramp collided with a pedestrian this afternoon [Friday].

"Unfortunately, the pedestrian sustained fatal injuries and was declared deceased on arrival of Medi Response paramedics.
"The driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to a private facility for further care."
