PE informal settlement blaze claims 7 lives

Motherwell police spokesperson Captain Andre Beetge says the fire broke out between 3am and 3:30am and burnt the informal settlement to the ground.
"We can confirm that all the occupants died in the fire," he said.
Beetge says three women, aged 62, 25 and 19 died, as well as two boys aged 7 and 3, a 6-year-old girl and a 10-month-old baby.
He says while individual names have not yet been obtained the family has been identified as Jamane.
Beetge says the cause of the fire has not yet been identified however an inquest docket has been opened.
