All staff members at The Pavilion Shopping Centre's Pick n Pay store are being screened, after one employee tested positive for COVID-19.

The supermarket was temporarily closed on Wednesday, but centre management says the store will reopen on Friday.

Management at the Durban shopping centre says it was informed on Wednesday that an employee at Pick n Pay had contracted the virus.

The store implemented strict protocols immediately.
