Patricia de Lille's future at stake: Analyst
Updated | By Heart FM News
A political analyst believes it could be the end of the road for Patricia de Lille as Cape Town mayor.
The latest development in the De Lille saga is that the DA's Cape Town Executive has recommended to the party's top decision-making structure that she be recalled.
The party's Federal Executive will discuss the matter on Sunday. De Lille is being probed for allegedly covering up corruption in her administration.
The mayor's denied all wrongdoing and has promised to fight back.

Political commentator, Daniel Silke says it doesn't look good for the former Independent Democrat.
"This does seem as though it is the end of the line for Patricia de Lille as mayor of Cape Town and in terms of her association with the Democratic Alliance. It's highly unlikely that being forced out as mayor will allow her to remain active within the party," he says.
Silke believes De Lille's possible exit could see her allies leaving the DA as well.
"It could cause some of her immediate followers who came in with independent democrats to also leave the party. Although ultimately, I don't think this will have a dramatic effect on the overall perception of the DA in the Western Cape," he says.
