Passenger killed in drive-by shooting in Durban

A man has died following a drive-by shooting in Durban.
He was found with gunshot wounds in a car at a petrol station on Berea Road on Monday afternoon.
ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson says it's believed the shooting happened on Botanical Gardens Road, but the driver managed to speed off to safety.

"On arrival, paramedics found SAPS and metro police had cornered off the area and found a bullet-ridden vehicle parked off in a garage.
"On closer inspection, it was found that the passenger ,a male believed to be in his 40s, had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and there was, unfortunately, nothing more paramedics could do for him and he was declared deceased at the scene.
"The driver is believed to have been to have been rushed privately to a hospital for the further care he required."
