Updated | By Sandile Bhengu

The committee has spent the week in the province.
Chairperson Jomo Nyambi says shelters housing the victims of the April floods also remain overcrowded, with not much change since their last visit in May.

"Because it is clear there was a sense of urgency when the national disaster was declared by the president. We want to see some progress and we will monitor the situation.
"Next week we will be doing our engagement with the auditor general to see value for money for what has been allocated to all the affected areas.”
