Parli must urgently discuss Claasen report findings: DA
Updated | By Puseletso Petersen
The DA will request the Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Police, that the Claasen report into suspended National Police Commissioner, Riah Phiyega, be urgently discussed.
The report - which implicates Phiyega - follows a probe into Phiyega's fitness to hold office following the Marikana Massacre.

DA MP Zakhele Mbhele says his party has welcomed the report.
"The DA welcomes the tabling of the Claasen Inquiry report into suspended Commission Phiyega, so that Parliament can interrogate its contents and make recommendations," he said.
The party will now be writing to the chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Police - to request that the matter be discussed as soon as Parliament reopens.
