Parents of raped Dundee schoolgirl (14) demand justice
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
The parents of a
14-year-old Dundee girl who was raped, allegedly at school by a teacher, say
they want justice for their daughter.
"My husband was told that my daughter was assaulted but he was never told that she was raped,” says the child’s mother.
“He thought it was a learner that assaulted her. So there's a family friend that is a teacher at the school. She took my husband out to to go to the perpertrator. My husband is been taken to a man and that when he said he went berserk.
The mother says they are deeply hurt that their child was violated at a place where she is supposed to be safe.
She says her daughter and family have been left with a permanent and traumatic scar.
"We are broken, we were devastated. We are old-fashioned parents, we are young but we keep our children well protected. We are guarded with our children.
“They aren't allowed to go out with their friends, we keep them like eggs so when this happened we were crushed. It broke us terribly.”
