Paramedics called as 'ancestorial calling' rocks another Durban school
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
Paramedics have been on standby at a Merebank Secondary School in the south of Durban after about 30 schoolgirls seemingly became disoriented.

PT Alarms' Dhevan Govindsamy says they arrived on the premises earlier on Friday.
"They were grabbing their heads and screaming and rolling on the floor holding their stomachs.
"Their eyes were rolling up and they were sweating continuously. They stated that their ancestors were calling them."
Govindsamy says the school's management managed to calm the situation down.

KZN education spokesperson Muzi Mahlambi says they are looking into the incident.
"We are very much worried about what is happening, so that is why we'll want to approach it in a broader spectrum.
"We will also involve psychologists, ritual leaders, religious and traditional healers so that once and for all we are guided as to how to move forward to deal with such situations."
A similar incident was reported at AD Lazarus Secondary School in Reservoir Hills last month, with some pupils sent home after apparently, they experienced ancestral callings.
