Status of Pacina Retail, KZN Education contract unclear: ActionSA
Updated | By Sandile Bhengu
ActionSA says it's asked Education MEC Mbali Frazer for clarity on the status of the contract it signed with Pacina Retail.
The company was awarded the tender to supply meals to more than 5 000 schools in the province, under the National School Nutrition Programme.
But it emerged last month that deliveries weren't being made.

KZN Education said last week that it had returned to its old model under the feeding scheme and pupils began receiving food again on Tuesday.
The ANC in the province said that Pacina's tender had been terminated.
ActionSA's Zwakele Mncwango says according to the company, the contract is still in place.
"Till do date, we haven't received clear communication from the government as to the status between Pacina Retail and the Department of Education.
