Over 50 000 expected in VDJ

Thousands of people will descend on the Greyville Racecourse in Durban for the 122nd instalment of the Vodacom Durban July today.
Organisers expect 55 000 people to head to Greyville for the famed race. Festivities kick-off early today with fashion events set to wow those who are heading to Greyville from 9:30 this morning.
The Grade 1 Vodacom Durban July will start at 16:20 this afternoon.
The 2,200m feature race is a race for R4.25-million. Tourism officials in the city expect today's events to pump more than R150-million into the local economy.
Metro Police are urging all those heading to the races to make sure they have fun, while staying on the right side of the law. Metro says roadblocks and other security operations have been implemented to ensure all those heading to the city remain safe.
The city's traffic management plan around the Greyville precinct has already been in action since late last night.
