Over 4 300 active Covid cases in KZN

South Africa's seen a steep rise in new Covid-19 infections.

Three thousand six hundred and forty-one fresh cases have been recorded, in the last 24-hour cycle.
This brings the number of people, diagnosed with the virus, to 1 625 003 since the outbreak last year.
Sixty-one more people have died, four of them in KZN, taking our national death toll to 55 568.
Meanwhile, under phase two of the Covid jab rollout, 116 741 people have received their vaccines.
As of today the cumulative number of #COVID19 cases identified in South Africa is 1 625 003.
