Over 3000 arrests for traffic infringements on SA roads in December

The Road Traffic Management Corporation says law enforcement operations will be intensified across the country, following the arrest of over 3000 motorists in the first two weeks of December.

The RTMC says they were taken into custody for various offences, including driving under the influence of alcohol.

Spokesperson for the RTMC, Simon Zwane, says 144 of these arrests were in KZN.
"Mainly for drunken driving, speed, driving without the necessary documents, and other offences," he said.
