Updated | By Newswatch
The number of children killed in Gaza in just the past three weeks has surpassed the annual number of children killed in all of the world's conflict zones since 2019.

This is according to Save the Children which says more than 3 195 children have been reported killed in the enclave since October the 7th.
The organisation says 33 children have died in the West Bank, while 29 have been killed in Israel.
Israel has been pounding Gaza through daily air strikes in retaliation for a Hamas attack that left over 1 400 people dead in Israel.

The current overall death toll in Gaza has been put at nearly 8000.
There are now reports it's stepping up its ground invasion in Gaza, with tanks entering the edge of the enclave.
Save the Children says with the violence not only continuing but expanding in Gaza right now, many more children remain at grave risk.
It says a ceasefire is the only way to ensure their safety.
