Over 13 million South Africans fully vaccinated

South Africa has crossed the 13 million mark of people who are now fully vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus.
The latest statistics from the National Department of Health show that a total of 13 215 874 people have now received either the one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine or both their Pfizer jabs.
This is 33.21% of the country population.
A total of 252 934 individuals between the age of 12-17 received their first Pfizer dose.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 136 550 vaccines were administered.
Gauteng is leading with 37 766 vaccines administered.
Of the people who received their jabs in the last 24 hours, a total of 100 955 were fully vaccinated.
So far, South Africa has administered 23 684 440 vaccines, 57% are females while 42% are males.
