Over 1 million litres of water collected during #WaterShare
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
East Coast Radio’s #WaterShare project has collected over one million litres of water for parts of the province hardest hit by the ongoing drought.
As of 5pm yesterday afternoon, East Coast Radio House in Umhlanga had no more space to store donated bottles of sealed water.
The campaign was launched on Tuesday. ECR’s marketing manager Renee Burton says no more bottles of water will be collected.

"We just brought people together and its not self serving, its the sense of Ubuntu if ever we did see it. So I think from East Coast Radio to the rest of KZN who helped out I think its just a massive thank you from us.
"Unfortunately, we are unable to take any more water, our main priority at the moment is to distribute it to the areas that needs it the most," she said.
