OUTA unhappy with ConCourt's Aarto ruling

The Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse (OUTA) says the Constitutional Court ruling on Aarto is disappointing as the legislation is impractical.
The court ruled on Wednesday that the act is constitutional.

It overturned a High Court judgement in favour of OUTA, which challenged its validity.
Aarto will introduce a demerit system that will strip repeat offenders of their licences.
OUTA's Stefanie Fick says she does not believe the act will help improve road safety and reduce fatalities.
"Merely legislating policy doesn’t make it rational or workable. Governments often suffer from the false belief that if the laws and regulations are in place, the people will simply comply.
"Irrational and or impractical laws and a lack of transparency results in pushback from society, making systems ungovernable."
