The interview with investigative journalist Mark Williams-Thomas titledOscar Pistorius: The Interview will air next Friday on Britain’s ITV.
Presenting his closing arguments in the sentencing proceedings, Prosecutor Gerrie Nel said that Pistorius would not testify in his own sentencing yet he's agreed to an interview on TV.
"He hasn't taken the court into his confidence. The court has heard nothing. In fact, My Lady, what the court has heard is that an accused elected to give an interview to the TV but not take this court into his confidence.
"That's disrespectful to the court, it's disresepectful to the victims of this crime and to the deceased," he said.
Earlier, Reeva Steenkamp's cousin Kim Martin told the court that her family was unhappy about the interview Pistorius has given.
