Oscar Pistorius treated in hospital for wrist injuries
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
The brother of former Paralympian Oscar Pistorius has taken to social media to refute certain media reports after the athlete was taken to hospital for what is believed to have been minor wrist injuries.

Pistorius was taken to Pretoria’s Kalafong Hospital yesterday afternoon.
Carl Pistorius took to Twitter saying the reports that the athlete tried to injure himself are unfounded and that he had slipped in his cell resulting in the injuries.
The City Press is reporting that he allegedly tried to hurt himself intentionally.
Pistorius is currently serving a six-year prison sentence for the murder of law graduate, Reeva Steenkamp.
Last month, the North Gauteng High Court handed down the sentence during re-sentencing procedures.
The Supreme Court of Appeal had overturned a culpable homicide conviction into one of murder.
The National Prosecuting Authority has since decided to put forward an application to appeal the sentence, saying that it was shockingly lenient.
