Oscar Pistorius injured in prison brawl
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
Correctional Services says an internal investigation is underway into a prison scuffle involving Oscar Pistorius and an inmate at the Atteridgeville Correctional Centre.

The scuffle, which was apparently over a pay phone, left the athlete with a minor injury.
Correctional Services spokesperson, Singabakho Nxumalo says the incident took place last week Wednesday.
"No form of chaos, assault or any other disturbances are allowed inside the correctional facility. Hence, we have instituted an investigation to look into this matter and get to the bottom of it. As the department, we want to make it clear that the safety of inmates, officials and contractors is of priority to us. Hence, we are not treating this matter as just a minor incident - it has been reported," he says.
The fight comes less than a month after the Supreme Court of Appeal extended Pistorius’ sentence for the murder of Reeva Steenkamp to 13 years in prison.
