Oscar Pistorius due in court
Updated | By News24
The postponement of sentencing hearing in the Oscar Pistorius matter will be heard today.
The matter will be heard at the Gauteng division of the Pretoria High Court.
It was reported in March that Pistorius's sentencing will take place between June 13 and June 17. He, however, still needed to appear in court on Monday in order to postpone the sentencing.
The Constitutional Court previously dismissed Pistorius's application for leave to appeal his conviction, and he now faces a minimum sentence of 15 years, unless he can provide substantial and compelling reasons to deviate from this prescribed sentence.
Pistorius served one-sixth of his five-year sentence in prison and was released in October to serve the remainder under correctional supervision.
He shot and killed his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, stating he mistook her for an intruder.
