Oscar Pistorius to be sentenced this week
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal

The former Paralympian will be sentenced later this week after the Supreme Court of Appeal converted his culpable homicide conviction to one of murder.
Pistorius claimed he mistook his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp for an intruder when he shot her in 2013.
Pistorius is expected to learn his fate in the North Gauteng High Court on Wednesday.
Durban-based Sunil Singh from Sunil Singh and Associates feels the purpose of Pistorius' ITV interview was to draw public sympathy.
"If the sentencing is to low than the state has the opportunity to take it further to the Supreme Court of Appeal for the purposes of sentencing"
He adds, "should the defence feel the sentence is to harsh they can have a recall for taking it further, while will be going back to the Supreme Court of Appeals and appealing the sentence".
