Opposition parties have a go at President Zuma
Updated | By Zongile Nhlapo
Opposition parties tore into President Jacob Zuma's State of the Nation address yesterday.

DA leader Mmusi Maimane said it took the Constitutional Court hours last week to reverse what had been years of Zuma's denying that he was liable for paying back some of the money spent on upgrades at his Nkandla home
"But now that you have been exposed in the nation's highest court, it remains to be determined how much you will pay because - here's the thing - whatever the amount, it would be nothing compared to what the people of this country have already paid for your presidency," he said.
The EFF's Julius Malema called for ANC members to wake up from what he called Zuma's personality cult.

"A man who can single handedly destroy what used to be the movement of the people, a man who says I will not pay the whole movement says he must not pay.
"A man who says now I will pay, the whole movement says you will now pay. Think comrades, you are participating in destroying the organisation of Chris Hani Albert Luthuli and OR Tambo.
"The organisation that never believed in the politics of personality culture. You are more Zuma members than being the ANC. You need to discover yourselves," he said.
The debate continues today while the President will reply tomorrow.
