Only one of eight Umtshezi schools open: Area's Steering Committee
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka

At issue is community protests over school feeding scheme tenders, reportedly awarded to those from outside the area.
Nkonyeni spoke to Newswatch yesterday.
"The situation has stabilised, they opened the following day. I think it happened last week," she said.
Committee member Victors Nqubuka confirmed that only one school was re-opened under heavy security.
He's vowed that the remaining seven schools will remain shut but says the Education Department HOD has promised to intervene.
