One killed, three hurt in Durban collision

One person has died following a head-on collision between a truck and a taxi in Durban.
The crash occured on the Victoria Embankment this afternoon.
Rescue Care says the driver of the taxi and and passenger were trapped in the wreckage of the minibus, requiring the efforts of both the Durban Fire Department and paramedics to free them.
The injured were taken to hospital, but one of them died on arrival.
According to Rescue Care, the truck driver escaped with minor injuries.
He was also transported to hospital.
The cause of the accident is unknown. Police are investigating.
