One killed, 4 injured in Pinetown accident

A man in his 20s has died while 4 others were critically hurt when they hit by a car along Old Main Road in Pinetown this morning.
It is suspected group were homeless individuals as the accident occurred while they were sleeping under a bridge. Rescue Cares's Garrith Jamieson says the man had succumbed to his injuries.
"Five people were sleeping under the bridge when a vehicle ploughed through a barrier and collided into the group", he said.
"Unfortunately one male, believed to be in his 20s was declared 'dead' on scene. A further four sustained critical injuries. They treated by Advanced Life Support paramedics and taken through to hospital", Jamieson said.
