One dead in multi-vehicle crash in Rossburgh

One person has been killed in a multi-vehicle crash near Rossburgh, south of Durban.

"A truck has overturned, landing on two cars and colliding with three other vehicles. In total it's a truck and five other vehicles involved in the collision," says Rescue Care's Garrith Jamieson.
He is at the scene, on the N2 southbound at the M7/Edwin Swales exit.

Jamieson says six other people have been left hurt, whilst the fire department is currently trying to free another three people from the wreckage.
"They're currently being treated on scene and will be transported to various Durban hospitals for further care. The M7 has been closed, so from the N2 west coming from Pinetown towards the Bluff and traffic is severely affected on the N2, all the way back to Chesterville. We ask motorists to avoid the area at all costs," he says.
