On the run cash-in-transit driver arrested

A northern KZN man, whose been on the run for the last four years has been arrested in Empangeni, in northern KZN.
Police say a warrant of arrest was issued for the 37-year-old who was a cash-in-transit vehicle driver in the Richards Bay area in 2017.
Officers say while his crew were busy loading money into an ATM, the suspect vanished with a number of moneybags.
They say the total amount of cash that went missing was around R2 million and a theft case was opened at Richards Bay Police.
The docket was transferred to the Provincial Organised Crime for further investigation and he was arrested in the Empangeni CBD this week.
He will appear in court on Monday.
