Officials reopen Umdloti Beach
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
Durban's Umdloti Beach has been re-opened to the public following its closure since Saturday morning.

The KZN Sharks Board says late on Friday, a carcass of a humpback whale washed up and got entangled in the nets.
On Saturday morning, the carcass was towed 13km off shore.
The board's Mike Anderson-Reed says the beach was re-opened this morning.
"There was a 2.5m tiger shark that was in the area and there was quite a lot of bite marks out of the carcass.
So, just for safety precaution, we don't know if there were other sharks in the immediate area or in the vicinity. We just gave it 24 hours to clear the area," he said.
