Public Works officials have visited the official residence of the president and deputy president in the Durban suburb of Morningside.

Yesterday, the Presidency said in a statement that damage was caused to John Dube House by flooding following recent heavy rains in the city.
National spokesperson for the department of Public Works, Thami Mchunu says officials were at the residence on Eastbourne Road yesterday to assess the damage to the home.
Mchunu says the department is still awaiting a full report on the extent of the damage.
"There's a lot of damage that has been caused and it is not possible for human habitation currently. The full extent of the damage obviously and the plans to rehabilitate it and get it into its proper condition," he said.
