Nzuza says plans to 'modernise' Home Affairs offices
Updated | By Sandile Bhengu
Deputy Home Affairs Minister Njabulo Nzuza says the department will need to modernise its offices in Umzumbe.
Nzuza visited Umzumbe in Ugu District Municipality in KwaZulu-Natal on Friday.
The purpose of the visit was to provide service delivery to the people that are far from Home Affairs offices.
Nzuza says they managed to help some of the residents apply for birth certificates and passports.
"We are now going to be increasing our fleet. We are having hundred new mobile units that we are bringing in, 15 of them we are deploying them to KZN so that we can be able to service people in the far-flung areas and rural areas of the province.”
Nzuza says improved service delivery will need modern offices.
