NSFAS expects high number of applications for 2021
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme says it expects a flood of applications for the 2021 academic year.
This as the aid scheme has already received over 188 000 applications so far, 20 000 more than last year.
In a statement NSFAS says during the first month of applications in August they had been receiving 5 000 applications a day.
It says it anticipates high volumes in applications due to the recent economic suffocation brought on by COVID-19.
Financial aid scheme applications close November 30.
