The death toll from Sunday night's head-on collision in Nseleni in northern KwaZulu-Natal has risen to nine.

An SUV and a minibus taxi were involved in the crash on the N2 between the Canefields intersection and the Nseleni Nature Reserve.
Eight people died on the scene.
KZN Transport says one of the injured died in hospital on Monday.
"A team of investigators is on scene to make sure that they are able to initiate the forensic investigation and also to get to the cause of the accident," says spokesperson Kwanele Ncalane.
"The MEC, on behalf of the provincial government, wishes to send deepest condolences to all the affected families but is generally on call on all road users to take responsibility in the province."
