No official water cuts report released: eThekwini

The municipality says no official report on water reduction has been approved by the city's Executive Committee.
A detailed report - titled "Planned Daily Restrictions Timetable for the Umgeni System" has been doing the rounds via email.
It contains a water reduction timetable for areas supplied by the system, stating areas that will be affected are Umhlanga, north of Durban to Umlazi in the south.
But in a statement sent to Newswatch and published on the municipality's Facebook page, eThekwini says Mayor James Nxumalo will in due course officially announce when water restriction measures will be implemented.
All municipalities were instructed last week to implement a 15% reduction in consumer demand for water.
KZN has been hard hit by severe drought with many areas, particularly the Umkhanyakude and Zululand-districts bearing the brunt.
