No stage 5 load shedding for now, says Eskom
Load shedding in the evenings has been taken down a notch.
Eskom had initially said stage 5 load shedding would kick in between 4pm and midnight from today at least until Wednesday.
It now says instead, stage 4 load shedding will be implemented in the evenings until 5am from today until further notice.
Stage 2 load shedding will be implemented daily between 5am and 4pm.
The power utility says the increase in load shedding is mainly due to high levels of breakdowns.
It says it's further depleted emergency generation reserves.
