The family made the request at Madonsela's memorial service at Ritson campus yesterday.

The Business Administration student was shot outside Steve Biko campus by a private security guard in a wake of protests action at campuses around the country.

The SRC says it was in a meeting at the time - police say students were engaged in violent demonstrations.  Madonsela's uncle, Xolani Ncanana says his nephew was allegedly shot three time.

"We are also appealing to everyone who was there - please avail yourself whenever you are needed up until justive is done. To fellow comrades, I have one message - the struggle is still continuing," Ncanana said.

Ncanana has also called on KZN Health to respond to accusations that Madonsela died because he was refused healthcare at a local hospital.
