No load shedding expected today

Eskom says it won't be imposing power cuts on Monday.

The utility reintroduced Stage 2 rotational outages this past weekend, which was supposed to continue until 5am this morning.

But, Eskom suspended load shedding at 11pm on Sunday, saying water levels at its pumped storage schemes have been adequately replenished.
It stressed that its system remains vulnerable after unplanned breakdowns. Load shedding returned on Saturday due to a conveyor belt failure at the Medupi power station.
Eskom's Dikatso Mothae says the conveyor belt problem has since been repaired and the plant is feeding power into the grid.
