No fee hikes yet at UKZN

The University of KwaZulu-Natal says it has not yet announced any fee increment for 2016.
Management made the comment as UKZN students stand in solidarity with others across the country who are protesting over fee hikes.
Students at the Westville and Howard College campuses yesterday embarked on a peaceful sit in.
UKZN's Lesiba Seshoka claims violent protests at the Westville campus earlier this year had been fuelled by rumours.
''They can't say they're protesting because fees are being increased because there is no fee increment at the moment that is being communicated from the council.
''The council usually sits down and look at the university's financial situation and then decide how much fee increment is needed - approve it thereafter we communicate that to the students,'' he said.
Students say they will continue with their sit-in until vice chancellor Albert van Jaarsveld addresses them. Moloadi waSekake studies at Howard College.
''We are going to send emails and do whatever it takes for the VC to come over and meet these students. We're very peaceful, we are not violent and there will be no torching of buildings,'' he said.
