No arrests after mother, toddler gunned down in Durban

KwaZulu-Natal authorities are yet to make any arrests, four days after two women and a toddler were shot dead in the south of Durban.

It's understood that an unknown number of suspects opened fire on the one-year-old baby girl, her mother and another relative at their home in Kwamakhutha on Friday.
"Two victims were fatally wounded at the scene, which the third one, a one-year-old, succumbed to her injuries in hospital. The motive for the killings are unknown," says KZN police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda.

This adds to a spate of shootings in KZN during the past weekend.
On Saturday, police won the battle against suspected drug dealers killing five in an apartment in Morningside who've been linked to recent drive-by shootings in Durban.
While in Umbumbulu, six people were gunned down at a house in the Empandwini Resort on Saturday night.
One suspect has been caught.
