'No alternative routes' as N3 protest near Montrose escalates
Updated | By Nondumiso Dube
Motorists travelling between Durban and Johannesburg using the N3 have been urged to delay their trips.

Truck drivers began blocking the route near Montrose in the Free State overnight.
They have used their heavy-duty vehicles to shut the road in both directions.
It's believed it's part of a protest over the hiring of foreign truck drivers.
The Road Traffic Inspectorate's Zinhle Mali says the situation is not getting better.
"The road was closed and we tried our level best to ensure we that divert traffic by Frere to N11 towards the R74 that is the traffic proceeding towards Johannesburg.
"However, as we speak, the new development is that the N11 as well by Langlaagte is also closed by traffic. It means we have no alternative routes from Durban to Joburg."
