Nkandla: Zuma owes R63.9m in fringe benefits tax, says DA
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
The DA says it will not allow President Jacob Zuma to escape paying Fringe Benefits Tax for non-security upgrades to his Nkandla home.
The opposition party says, according to its calculations Zuma should pay back R63.9-million.
The DA says the R7.8-million that Zuma has been ordered to pay back is a separate amount.
Spokesperson Mabine Seabe says the matter must be taken seriously by tax officials.

"Tax affairs are a private matter. What we are asking here - our determination is asking the president whether he paid this tax. If he didn't then it should be paid.
"If it hasn't been paid, we want an investigation launched by SARS to determine why this tax wasn't paid and if not, necessary action must be taken," he said.
The Presidency says Zuma will abide by the Constitutional Court process.
